The Taurus 856 is an affordable and reliable 6 shot, small frame, double/single-action revolver chambered in 38 special. The 856 has a 2” barrel, an overall length of 6.55” and a width of just 1.41”, just a tad wider than the 5 shot Taurus 605, making it perfect for those who choose to conceal carry a wheel gun. Double/Single action guns provide the stiff trigger you need to protect against accidental discharge in double-action mode and the clean short break you need for follow up shots or precise accuracy in single. The 856 has a removable serrated blade front sight and the rear sight is integral to the frame. A transfer bar safety keeps this revolver drop safe. The steel frame of the 856 combined with Taurus’s soft rubber grips soak up recoil making even +P ammunition easier to shoot.
